About Acekard 2:

• The Acekard 2 is a relatively new card. 100% game compatibility, skinnable, download-play support, micro SD/SDHC memory card support, very swift loading, and Action-Replay cheat support are some of its features. Users reported freezing problems with the first batch of cards, but the Acekard 2.1 revision released in December 2008 addressed these issues. These newer cards show 2.1 on their sticker and can be identifiable by their lack of a microchip bulge underneath the sticker.

• The official Acekard Team has not updated their firmware since mid-2010[3]-in addition to the official firmware, a Closed-Source firmware is also under active development, called AKAIO. It is currently at version 1.8.1, with support for the EZ-Flash V 3-in-1 and 3-in-1+ Expansion Packs.

• With the release of the Nintendo DSi, the Acekard team became the first team to release a card compatible with it: the Acekard 2i. Other than its support for the DSi, it is identical to the Acekard 2. When Nintendo released the newest iteration of the DSi firmware (1.4.1U in the United States), the Acekard 2i was the Second manufacturer to release a patch to make the card compatible.

How Do I Access Nintendo Interface DS Using Acekard?

The Nintendo DS is a handheld console that came out in 2004 to replace the Game Boy Advance SP. The Nintendo DS has three different variations, the DS, the DS Lite and the DSi. An Acekard is a special device called a flash card. It is the same size as a Nintendo DS cartridge, but it has room for a mini SD card in it. When you download the proper firmware and media onto the SD card you can watch movies, listen to music and play back up copies of DS games. You can even access the Nintendo DS interface while using the Acekard

• Put an SD card with the proper firmware installed on it in your Acekard

• Put the Acekard into your Nintendo DS Slot 1

• Turn on your Nintendo DS and press the touch screen

• Press down on the directional pad or use the stylus to choose which area of the Nintendo DS interface you would like to use. Click on it or press "A" to access it

How to Put Games on Your Acekard 2i:

• Buy a Micro SD card

• Go home and open all the packaging

• The Acekard package comes with a Micro SD adapter

• Put the Micro SD in the adapter

• Plug the adapter onto your computer

• Access your Micro SD Card with Windows Explorer

• Download the latest firmware

• Extract it and put it on your Micro SD. (The guy who sold me the Acekard did steps 7 and 8 for me)

• Just inside your Acekard make a folder with a name like "Games".

• Download a/bunch of Rom/s

• Extract the Rom/s and put them in the folder you made in Step 9

• Take out your Micro SD

• Put it in the Acekard

• Put the Acekard in your DS

• Turn it on and GAME ON

How to set up Acekard 2i for Nintendo DSi:

• 1. Before continuing it is suggested you format your micro SD/SDHC card in your computer by using your card reader or the USB adapter.

• How will you format? After Windows has added the SD card as a new drive, open the "My Computer" window and right click on the new removable drive. Then select "Format" from the menu. In the format window select FAT32 as file system> choose quick format and press OK to format the card

• 2.If you have important data on the Micro SD/SDHC card make sure you save the data somewhere else before you complete this step. You may also find it useful to give you micro SD/SDHC card a volume label when formatting. This makes it easier to identify your card

• 3.If the kernel has been updated on acekard.com use new kernel

• You will need winrar/ zip program to download and unzip this software and if you dont have this program on your pc already you can get it free at www.download.com, just type in rar/zip on the site's search bar

• 4.After downloading , extract the RAR file using winrar/zip program (double click on it), this will give you "_ak2", "akmenu4.nds" and "release_note.txt". Highlight all of these and send to or transfer or drag & drop or copy and paste to the root directory (this is important) of your MicroSD/SDHC card.[The "root" of any storage media is just the first window that pops up when you open the disk drive or you can open it by going to my computer>right click>open].Finally, please check you have all of the above extracted parts on your Micro SD/SDHC card

• 5.You can now eject your Micro SD/SDHC card from your computer, put it in your ak2i, and boot up ak2i in you DS/DSL/DSi. Thats it! Its really that simple

• If after doing the above your dsi gives an error message possibly your dsi is on 1.4 firmware. If so and to make acekard 2i work in a dsi 1.4 firmware go to all4consoles.co.uk/acekard-setup.html and follow the main as well as the red part in the bottom of the guide. The fix is easy
